Only twelve of these total and I want one of them so bad. Why can't I just be in Florida and have a crap load of money to buy whatever I want?!

"I broke my freakin arm!"...

Although Jesse hadn't skateboarded in quite a while and recently undergone major hip surgery, it didn't stop him from trying things at the skate park he shouldn't have the other day. Dallin and I pushing him probably wasn't the best idea. Anyways upon bailing in the bowl at the Payson Skate park, his board shot back under his foot and sent him up into the air. It looked like in the cartoons when someone steps on a banana peel. He came down directly on his elbow, and although I didn't believe him at first he really did snap his elbow bone in half.

They took x rays in the emergency room and about 3 hours after the fall he was told he was going to have his second surgery within 3 months.

He's all put back together, but still in quite a bit of pain and his arm looks like a piece of rotting meat.

One giant screw and some bailing wire does the trick.

Yummy.

The rotting meat I was speaking of.

Anyways, skate safe.

More Cudi...

Recently Snoop Dawg has kind of teamed up With NEFF clothing, which made me think who I wish wore our shirts. Kid Cudi would for sure be near thetop of that list, Man on Te Moon is one album I haven't been able to get sick of no matter how much I listen to it. Oh yeah and for sure Busta Rhymes. After watching the end of like Halloween H2o or one of those movies, and watching Busta electrocute the bad dude, I not only laughed like crazy, but it reminded how awesome he is. But For sure more than anybody I really just want everyday people like myself to wear it. Anyways the whole point of this is to post the Kid Cudi video. So here you go...

Brotherly Love...

Awhile back I mentioned wanting photos of whomever wearing our stuff and I would post the good ones on here/facebook. I haven't been the best about sticking to my word, but I'm here to change that. Being the awesome guy that he is, my brother grew out this disgusting mustache and sent me this pictures. I've taken quite a while to get around to putting them up, but today i was looking through my emails and saw them again and they made me laugh so it's about time I got around to putting it up. Thanks and sorry Robby.

The Great Salt Lake.

Here's a little video from our trip to get some nice photos of the shirts and what we're all about. As mentioned before skateboarding is a big part of who we are, and even though I'm getting old and fat I still wish I could have been a pro skateboarder and traveled the world. And although it will never happen I can still pretend by traveling to one of the coolest places in Utah with some product, a few cameras, and a couple skateboards.

Fun for the whole family/Happy birthday Little J.

Keeping with true Florida tradition, for Little Jesse's birthday we decided to hit up the one and only Hooters in Utah. For those of you outside of Utah, you have to realize that Hooters is a little more than looked down upon by the majority here. Which is funny to me, cause back home they're everywhere and I've been to Hooters plenty of times with my whole family. And anybody who knows how much I love to eat knows that my attention is for sure more focused on the chicken wings than those super "sexy" nylons and scrunched up socks that the waitresses wear. Little J and his buddies decided to add a little fun to the night, by "Suiting Up". Taking cues from Neil Patrick Harris and "How I met Your Mother" The whole gang showed up to the super classy establishment in full on suits. Fun was had by all as we got fat, snuck a few peeks at some skeezy girls, and watched crash after crash during the women's downhill skiing event. Anyways here's some pictures from the magical evening.
p.s. notice a few people are missing from the group shots cause they were worried about people seeing them at hooters on facebook.... lame.

Late nights, neglected wives, freezing cold, and no weekends.

ParadeMaker is a product of our blood sweat and tears... actually that's a little too dramatic. But seriously much fun as it has been so far it's twice as much work. The title for this post is how I've felt this week. Every night this week, once school work is out of the way, has been devoted to some aspect of ParadeMaker. Whether it's working on designs until my wife makes me go to bed or burning screens at 2 in the morning in my brothers garage, night time seems to be the only time I have to get anything done. And my poor wife, who pushed me to do this to begin with (I'm sure she regrets it now), just wants to spend some quality time with me. But I haven't been able to slow down much. So to her I apologize, and say thank you for pushing me though. Then to top it all off I gladly got out of bed early on my Saturday so I could screen print in my freezing cold garage which is at least ten degrees colder than the already frigid 30 some degree weather outside. But despite all this we won't quit the whole experience is too rewarding. It feels good to be able to rock a freshly printed shirt to school and have people ask about it, or to feel somewhat official when admiring the new size labels we printed in the shirts (pictures coming soon). So to end this post, here are some pictures, I've been meaning to post for a while, to prove that ParadeMaker is down home and hand made with love.

You gotta make it fun.

That's Dallin the unpaid intern/Ipod DJ, as long as he keeps the music good the party keeps on going.

Flash dried with love.

Part of our well organized work space.

Jesse always works so hard.

EASTSIDE! I think?

By far my favorite picture, but I hope my mother never sees it.

You look good.

Part of a new scheme to get anyone out there to buy/represent Parademaker, I would like to introduce you to "You look good". Mostly this will just be a photo album on our Facebook page for all the world to see. However if the pictures are funny or creative or you're super hot then they might just be used even more. I think it's kind of boring having the same pictures of the same model to sell the shirts all the time, so maybe the next model could be you (thanks to Jeremy Warner for that idea). Or if the pictures are really rad then maybe you'll get a sweet spotlight on this awesome blog that about 4 different people actually read(including my brother and I). Or if I need a break from actual schoolwork maybe I'll turn it into one of our adorable little ads. Anyways, you get the idea you'll seem cooler on Facebook when we tag you on our page and we can shamelessly peddle our products to your friends when they look at the pictures.

So without further bull I introduce the first installment of "You Look Good"!!!

So before the whole appendicitis episode our biggest fan and one of my best friends sent me these awesome photos. Thanks JC.

On the Job.

ParadeMaker will give your loved ones appendicits!!!

Not quite as catchy as "PARADEMAKER WILL EAT YOUR FAMILY", but after the past week i'm convinced it may be just as scary.

At the beginning of last week I had surgery to get my infected appendix out. It should have been a quick in and out thing, but long story short it wasn't. Apparently parts of my body didn't feel like waking up after the surgery when I did.

For example, the caption for this photo should read "I can't pee!!"
But that was the least of my problems and after five days I finally was out of the hospital. Anyways I apologize for the lack of posts and hopefully I won't be sleeping the day away anymore.

Burger Time.

My best friend, our biggest fan, and only real customer came to town, so we had to celebrate. And What better way to celebrate than with a big freaking burger. I had heard through the grapevine that I needed to check out Joe's cafe, so we hit it up.

This picture alone is proof that Joe doesn't mess around.

A slight ketchup explosion may have ruined this shirt, but it wasn't enough to ruin the burger. It was still amazing.

Joe's the man, and thanks to him after a few more visits I'll have to start wearing XXL's.

Hopefully only the beginning...

Let's begin at the beginning....

For anyone who doesn't know, ParadeMaker is an attempt to do something I actually enjoy in life. I blame skateboarding for this creative tick that now runs my life. But no matter what the actual cause, it's like a disease I can't get rid of, so I it's best if I try to use it. PardadeMaker is an attempt to feed the disease.

I love t-shirts, and my wardrobe is proof of that. It probably drives my wife nuts when she wants to dress nice, but besides all of my t-shirts I only have one nice shirt. I can't help that I really enjoy the satisfaction of someone noticing and commenting on a unique shirt. Some of my best shirts seem to get noticed all the time, and that is the hope I have for ParadeMaker.

To me a "ParadeMaker" (despite what the urban dictionary has to say about the term, which I didn't find out until recently) is anyone or anything that catches people's attention for no one particular reason. I hope to achieve this with these shirts, and in the future whatever else comes. I hope people laugh at, gasp at, or even hate on these designs. I encourage everyone to go out and look good, and hopefully these shirts can help you do that.

I don't really expect to make any money, but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to it. The truth is I would be super pumped if I could just sell enough shirts to be able to quit my day job and be able to afford food from Wendy's more often. My brother and partner in crime, Jesse, on the other hand really doesn't want to go to medical school anymore, so he wouldn't mind selling shirts instead.

So help us live the dream, and look good doing it. Make a scene.

Sincerely,
Josh Storer
